Best Lift Chairs Available

Many manufacturers will claim that their lift chairs are the best. As a power lift chair specialist I am here to give you an unbiased opinion.
The age old saying of  "You get what you pay for..." is generally true however there are other options which may surprise you.
There are three different types of lift chair the 2 way, 3 way and infinite position recliner. The two way and 3 way recliner's have one motor which means that the foot and head rest cannot be used individually.

• Single Motor Lift Chairs

 Most entry level models will be single motor and the more affordable generally means that these models will be imported. Many of these chairs will not have as strong a frame and are less stable. They also only have a one year warranty unless otherwise specified. Generally these models will not have a battery backup of smart tech technologies.
There are better quality single motor recliners from the likes of Nex-idea and Ultracomfort (Sister company of Golden Technologies) which have solid maple frames and a Lifetime Warranty on the frame and mechanism. These chairs also have a battery back up incase of power outages which will allow you to get in or out of your chair.

Benefits of a single motor Lift chair

1. A single motor can be the best option if the person using the chair suffers from dementia.
2. Work in one action. Leg rest will raise and then the headrest will recline.
3. Easy to use two button remote.
4. A request of a left hand or right hand handset option available on many models.

• Dual motor Chairs

The dual motor of infinite position chair in my mind is the best. We have many dual motor recliners from Elran which are the same price or less expensive than some of our high end single motor chairs. With a lifetime warranty on the frame and mechanism and a battery backup these models are more affordable than the likes of our Ultracomfort line.

1. Elran - Our Elran models can come in single of dual motor lift chairs and are also available as standard models and the widest variety of fabrics of any lift chair supplier. You also have option heat and massage on some models and wall hugger options on recliners. The only drawback is that custom fabrics will have a delivery time of approx. 6 weeks.
2.  Ultracomfort - The best of the best is Ultracomfort. These chairs are made in the U.S. and strive to bring customers the best options available for their needs. With stain resistant and water repellant fabrics as well as scratch proof synthetic leathers which can be disinfected in the case of incontinence this company is always one step ahead of the competition. They have option extra's which include heat and massage, gel memory foam seats, footrest extensions, Auto Drive, Auto Flex. The drawback - Price. With models starting around $1100 and going up to over $2000 many people opt for a cheaper option. However when you consider how much time you will be spending in your chair it's worth spending a little extra if you can afford it.

Benefits of a dual motor Lift chair

1. A dual motor is better for people who would like to remain upright with their feet up at the same time.
2. Multiple positioning will give maximum comfort as you can adjust the position of your back and feet.
3. Easy to use handset highlighted to show you the action of each button including simple lift button to raise you out the chair.
4. A request of a left hand or right hand handset option available on many models.
